Signage warning drivers to slow down.

The post Signage warning drivers to slow down. appeared first on http://www.calgarysignage.ca/.

The drivers of Manitoba have just been reminded to slow down near schools. This reminder has been made just after children have returned to school from their summer vacations. Drivers are reminded that they should never drive faster than 30 km/h in and around schools to prevent road accidents and greatly reduce the risk of injuring children.

The reminder to slow down in and around has been issued partly due to the current signage near to schools advising drivers to reduce their speed is not good enough. Either the signs are not clear enough, they are not in the best positions for drivers to see them, or there is not a sign there.

Steps are been taken to improve the signage in the approaches to schools so it is clearer to drivers that they need to slow down by schools. In the mean time by slowing down around schools children should stay safe until all schools have reduce speed signs near to them.
